The City & State Black Trailblazers in pictures

More than 200 people gathered at the Philadelphia Marriott Old City on Tuesday to celebrate the honorees of the 2025 City & State PA Black Trailblazers, who were feted for leading the way in sectors ranging from politics to health care to advocacy and beyond. 

In addition to keynotes delivered by state Auditor General Timothy DeFoor and City of Philadelphia City Representative and Director of Special Events Jazelle Jones, the evening, which was hosted by Philadelphia 2026 Director Michael Newmuis, featured remarks from Philadelphia City Council President Kenyatta Johnson and Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission Executive Director Chad Dion Lassiter.
