On Thursday, a jury in Manhattan found former President Donald J. Trump guilty on 34 felony counts related to the former president’s hush money trial. Trump was found guilty of falsifying business records, and his sentencing is scheduled for July 11, which is just a few days before Republicans are expected to pick Trump as the GOP’s 2024 nominee.

In the wake of the jury’s historic decision, City & State has compiled reactions from Pennsylvania politicos from across the state, including members of the commonwealth’s congressional delegation, state legislators and others who had something to say about Trump’s conviction.

Outside of the political world, the internet has plenty of takes on what Trump’s verdict will mean moving forward.

It seems like the guilty verdict might inspire plenty of Boardwalk T-shirt ideas this summer.

A parody account resembling the thoughts of former President James Buchanan – the first president to hail from Pennsylvania – seems to be having a good day.
